WHY SEE THIS SHOW: A play about the women in charge of the man in charge. First off, any resemblance to current political leaders is purely coincidental. There is a note at the top of the script that says it’s not inspired by one particular president, but ALL presidents, and that is what makes it so funny. It’s really about the women that are normally relegated to secondary characters in farces by making them the stars. Selina Fillinger’s brilliant, all-female farce took Broadway by storm in a star-studded production that earned three 2022 Tony nominations. This uproarious comedy skewers the absurdity of modern politics (a thing that you think can’t be skewered…until you see this). Directed by Maegan McNerney Azar, this production will show off the incredible depth of talent we have in town. Also…it is delightfully profane.
No matter what side of the aisle you’re on, this show will give you joy and escape during the holidays.
