For its 52nd season, The Warehouse Theatre delivers all the elements audiences have come to expect from the Greenville cornerstone:  stories with boundless humor, deep dives into relevant aspects of the community we live in, and a world premiere unlike anything ever heard and seen on a theatrical stage.

“Each year we try and top ourselves in the quality of stories we’re bringing to the Upstate. First and foremost, we want to bring stories that are entertaining, and these shows deliver on all fronts for our 52nd season,” said Producing Artistic Director Mike Sablone.  “There is something for everyone, whether you want an absurd comedy or a riveting drama.  As a bonus, every writer has been nominated for either a Pulitzer or a Tony Award, which shows the level of excellence we are committed to as we deliver high-quality entertainment that you can only see at The Warehouse!”

Fresh off its extremely popular Broadway run, The Warehouse kicks off its season by producing GUTENBERG! THE MUSICAL!, a two-person, comedic, music-laden thrill ride featuring Tony-nominated actress Caitlin Kinnunen. In this charming love letter spoof of musicals, two performers play all the parts and sing all the songs.  Greenville will be thrilled to witness the hilarious calamity they ignite on stage.

For the holidays, The Warehouse Theatre once again delivers on its promise by producing something that is anything but a holiday show.  When you need that break from the Christmas classics, Tony-nominated Bekah Brunstetter’s THE GAME navigates the triumphs and hurdles of a modern marriage. Taking its inspiration from the classic Greek comedy LYSISTRATA, Bekah’s play about a support group for multi-generational women whose partners are obsessed with a video game provides audiences with surprising twists and enormous heart.

January will find The Warehouse slowing the tempo down just a bit as former graduates of a Catholic college in Wyoming revisit their alma mater in Will Arbery’s Pulitzer Prize finalist, HEROES OF THE FOURTH TURNING.  When casual revelry turns to tense debate among the group, what should be a night of celebration quickly spins into an evening pondering exactly who they are, how they got there, and how to move forward in these uncertain times.  With unsettling turns and unexpected discoveries, HEROES will deliver the season’s most thought-provoking, gripping piece of theatre.

Katori Hall’s contemporary masterpiece, THE MOUNTAINTOP, drives the season into the spring.  One of the most produced plays of the last decade, the story centers around a road-weary Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and an unanticipated encounter at the Lorraine Motel the night before his assassination.  With moving flashes of humor, empathy, and honesty, this play explores how our nation’s greatest hopes have lingered long after that fateful night in Memphis.

And rounding out the 52nd season is a play that tackles (pun intended) one thing that almost all Southerners can’t get enough of…football.  A world premiere from the mind of Pulitzer Prize Finalist and Tony-nominated writer, Kristoffer Diaz, the title tells you what you’re in for: FOOTBALL FOOTBALL FOOTBALL FOOTBALL.  A side-splitting, eye-popping, brain-bending hurricane of a comedy that finds a professional football team in a major dilemma when it can’t decide which top prospect to draft and instead makes a fateful decision that not only upsets the professional football applecart, but the world as we know it.  A show that will be seen and still not believed.

Season tickets will go on sale April 1st.  And remember, Season Subscribers can purchase additional tickets for any show at a discounted rate and can buy / reserve tickets to any show before the general public.  This is especially important given how many shows sold out in 2024.

Single tickets for GUTENBERG! THE MUSICAL! will go on sale to the public July 1st.
