Greenville may be widely celebrated for its world-class performing arts scene but local advocates are concerned that federal funding for the arts may be in jeopardy — with Upstate congressmen leading the charge against the National Endowment for the Arts.

“It’s something I worry about all the time,” said The Warehouse Theatre’s executive and artistic director Paul Savas.
