Every estranged member of the Lafayette clan has descended upon the crumbling Arkansas homestead to settle the accounts of their newly-dead patriarch. As his three adult children sort through a lifetime of hoarded mementos and junk, they collide over clutter, debt, and a contentious family history. But after a disturbing discovery surfaces among their father’s possessions, the reunion takes a turn for the explosive and unleashes crackling surprises, gut-punching honesty, and uproarious confrontations.

COMMUNITY REMEMBRANCE PROJECT OF GREENVILLE COUNTY
The Community Remembrance Project of Greenville County is a local volunteer organization convened to commemorate the victims of racial terror and preserve the social memory of our local community by engaging in a more honest conversation about the history of lynching that took place here. Working within the guidelines established by the Equal Justice Initiative, they strive to honor the victims of racial terror and violence and to educate and inspire dialogue in our community. In conjunction with our production of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’s play Appropriate, our upcoming digital forum will be a conversation led by members of CRP’s leadership team. Join us on June 15th at 6:30pm.
