JOB OPENING: TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Overall Description: The Warehouse Theatre in Greenville, South Carolina seeks a full-time Technical Director. Working under the supervision of the Producing Artistic Director, the Technical Director is responsible for all technical aspects of the productions of The Warehouse Theatre including set construction and implementing lighting, sound, and scenic designs for our Main Stage productions.

Qualifications: Must have strong organization, supervisory and communication skills.  Strong carpentry skills a must.  Drafting skills are a plus, but not a must.  Must be able to manage off-site scene shop and crews.  Valid driver’s license and ability to drive up to a 25′ box truck.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Manages the technical theatre elements of The Warehouse Theatre by directly overseeing all Main Stage productions.
  • Determines the necessary technical supports necessary for Main Stage productions well in advance of production dates and works to implement those technical supports.
  • Ensures the appropriate staffing of most technical positions required for all Main Stage productions, particularly all carpenters, painters, and lighting professionals.
  • Supervises and assists with set and stage construction / management.
  • Attends all Production Meetings.
  • Ensures that all Main Stage productions are accomplished within budgetary guidelines for his/her respective areas.
  • Monitors the condition of equipment including lighting and sound equipment; performs preventive maintenance on such equipment, and arranges for repair and replacement of equipment as required and within budgetary constraints.
  • Leads and manages strike following all Main Stage productions including organization of crews, rentals, and storage.
  • Maintains safe, clean, and organized off-site scene shop and storage facility.
  • Provides consultation as needed for technical aspects of The Warehouse Educational Touring Show.

JOB OPENING: FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER

Overall Description: The Warehouse Theatre in Greenville, South Carolina seeks a full-time (and potentially part-time) Front of House Manager. Working under the supervision of the Managing Director, the Front of House Manager is responsible for all customer service, sales, and front-of-house experience for the Main Stage productions as well as any on-site community engagement events (Forums, Networking Nights, Bonus Shows, etc.).

Qualifications: Must have strong organization, customer service, and communication skills.  Must be able to manage small volunteer groups.  Experience with sales and marketing a plus.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Ensures that the patron experience (pre-show, intermission, and immediate post-show) is positive and operates smoothly during runs of Main Stage and other shows. Ensures that the Theatre provides welcoming, courteous, helpful, and efficient service to patrons.
  • Manages the point-of-service ticket-buying experience of the Theatre’s patrons, including managing ticketing software, season subscriptions, group ticket sales, and single ticket sales.
  • Provides management, sales, and reporting for concessions operations for the Theatre.
  • Provides management of all aspects of the physical plant for the office, lobby, rehearsal, and box office areas.
  • Manages general office operations including acquisition and maintenance of office supplies and maintaining of administration-related vendor contracts.
  • Assists the Managing Director & Producing Artistic Director in maintaining facility security.
  • Recruits, trains, and supervises front-of-house workers and volunteers.
  • Coordinates facility opening times for Main Stage and other events.
